It’s difficult to find restaurants that give you enough serving that can satisfy you for a probable perfect pigging experience. And you can find that perfect spot in the Queen at Kuya J Restaurant.
Housed at N. Escario St., Cebu City, along the road where you can find Golden Peak Hotel, Parklane Hotel and Simply J’s Restaurant; Kuya J is a mixed culture cuisine, but triumphant in Filipino style and taste.
SETTING
The place is visible to passing vehicle and can be easily spotted because of its street-side location, plus having a huge parking space adds up to customer convenience too that gives encouragement to try their offers.
Inside is warm, yellow-lighted and welcoming; perfect ambiance with minimal decorations (almost none); the place is sophisticatedly well structured and painted also it’s ventilation inside is just enough, in other words the air-condition is not too cold.
They also have outdoor seating for people who want to have natural ambiance .
SERVICE
I love how the service was quick, from getting us a seat to giving the menu, to serving our food and getting our bill. We didn’t experience long and inconvenient waiting time for anything that is serviced there, and it’s impressive.
The management didn’t hold back in employing plenty and it’s good, because not all restaurants invest more on waiters, and I’m impressed with them too because they are not the type that when you call them, they’ll try to ignore you, just like those of the other restaurants downtown which I don’t fancy and irritates me.
FOOD
Heavenly yet Affordable.
You have to try to believe me. We ordered only three of their offers; their best-seller Baked Scallops that only costs us P165.00, Grilled Squid in P195.00 and Lechon Kawali Paksiw in P155.00.
Their Baked Scallops was above the most delicious in all restaurants I’ve been in the Queen. It even surpassed my ever favorite in Golden Courie. Also, same as with their Lechon Kawali Paksiw, which made me fall in love with the taste. And last is the Grilled Squid that surprised me with the flavor in a good way. The bombardment of flavors wants you not to stop, and not to mention, their unlimited rice which was too late for us to realize it was unlimited (bummer).
I’m in love with the fact that it’s affordable, yet the food is oh-so-good. Having the price range of P120.00 to P300.00+, it’s really, really worth the money!
